UIBC CHARITY DAY, MAY 2014
UI Buddy Club (UIBC)'s Charity Day was done. Finally. I and Soulaya was assigned by Kak Putri, the president of UIBC to handle a project called "Charity and Cultural Day". The basic concept is cultural exchange and charity in the same time. So, we have to find an orphanage or "learning house" for kids around campus. The exchange students (Buddies) will perform their cultural arts such as dancing, singing in front of the kids, and explain about their culture. After that, the Buddies will give some donations to support the foundation. But, after some considerations, we deleted the cultural part and gonna initiate "only" charity project. Thus, we'll only focus on how the Buddies can donate and contribute for the content of this activity. Think it won't be difficult, since I have some friends who are also the board of some "learning house"around my school. But, the reality is not that easy. I've contact some learning houses, but
